Mainstage Comedy, Digital Arts Immersion and Original Performance Experiences

Torn Space Theater returns in 2026 with a surprising slate of contemporary performance, featuring new original works, continuing collaborations, community outreach and education initiatives, and even a crowd-pleasing comedy mainstage. Through its four signature tiers of programming: the Mainstage Production, Independent Artist Performances, Agents of Change, and Site-Specific Experiences, Torn Space provides Buffalo audiences and artists with a platform for avant-garde and interdisciplinary experiences, cultivating unique gathering spaces for creatives across mediums, and offering original groundbreaking performances in its signature design-forward style.

A Site-Specific Experience launches the Torn Space 2026 Season with a Valentine’s weekend return of REVEAL following its sold-out summer run, in addition to Torn Space’s annual immersive work in August. Independent Artist Performances include an open call for the Mad Dash spontaneous short play festival, and a new installation by Groupwork titled Aperture/Afterimage. The Mainstage Production is The Legend of Georgia McBride by Matthew Lopez featuring Buffalo legend Jimmy Janowski in this side-splitting comedy. Agents of Change, Torn Space’s annual educational and social justice outreach program, will continue to expand with student community engagement, a public action, and a live presentation at Silo City. More programming announcements for pop-up engagements and an exciting project spanning November 2026 – March 2027 will be coming soon! Stay tuned here on our website and on our social media feeds @tornspace. In the meantime, mark your calendars and plan a visit to the newly renovated Mickiewicz bar and lounge for an exceptional experience surrounding unforgettable performances at 612 Fillmore Avenue.
